WorldPride Month: Embrace it all as it is

There’s the song of the all, spread into many pieces, shattered all around, each hold a melody and the notes of a song that has never begun nor ended, it is there yet it is not, can you hear it ? Mohammed Aref, a queer Palestinian musician and artist, resides in Amsterdam. He’s performing with his band The Habibs, playing five self-written songs. Mohammed’s music blends pop, world music, English and sometimes Arabic vocals, creating a unique fusion of Arabic and Western influences. The band’s instrumentation includes guitar, drums, piano and bass guitar. The songs explore five themes rooted in Mohammed’s experiences as a queer person. These themes guide his inner-standing of life and his chosen path.
