PALESTINIAN SHORT FILM SCREENING + CONVERSATION with Ehab Ghafri

De Warren invites you for an evening of Palestinian short films together with filmmaker and psychologist Ehab Ghafri. The evening brings together three films by emerging Palestinian filmmakers, connected through themes of displacement, memory, survival, occupation, and everyday life under violence. The screening includes: •\u2060 \u2060My Crutch by Ahmad Tariq Hamad •\u2060 \u2060The Refrigerator by Adnan Al Bobali •\u2060 \u2060Survivor by Ehab Ghafri The films are part of a wider effort to create and share Palestinian cinema independently, outside institutional and commercial control. As Ehab writes “These films tell the realities of Palestine, without interference from biased filmmakers or external control over the Palestinian narrative.” After the screening there will be a conversations with Ehab about the films, filmmaking under occupation and cinema and memory and resistance. There will also be an opportunity to donate directly to support a cinema school, and the production of new films by the filmmakers and their team.
