Ontaard - post metal Ontaard grabs a hold of you and refuses to let go. This band weaves spoken word, screams and a wall of sound into music that touches the mind, heart and soul. Shira’s lyrics are feminist and engaged, with the emotions that these subjects demand. Their shows are dynamic, at times so vulnerable you can hear a pin drop, followed by moments of an overwhelming maelstrom that you can not escape. Ontaard is an experience. Anger, sadness, but also hope for a brighter future. They will take your hand and guide you. They have had the privilege to play various venues in the Netherlands. Highlights are the Roadburn secret show of 2024, followed by the commissioned project “Something To Lose” Roadburn 2025, which was a cooperation with friends. They have opened for a variety of bands including Esben and the Witch, Agriculture and Deafheaven. After the first EP I am but my Flesh, the cooperation Oud Zeer and live album Something To Lose their debut album is coming up; A Monster Called Shame will be released in October 2026. This record dealing with the anger, frustration, loss and destruction of past trauma will showcase everything Ontaard has to offer. Keenan Mundane - experimental hiphop Producer, MC and multi-instrumentalist Keenan Mundane is quite literally his own living, breathing radio station. It’s a sight to see this rising artist pole vault from beat to beat in breakneck fashion, knitting it all together with a motormouth lyrical flow. Keenan raids from an incredibly rangy amount of influences, molding them into something distinctly his. The beat wizardry of J Dilla, the hardcore punk pounce of Bad Brains, the cutting edge noise of JPEGMAFIA, the revisionist production chops of Lee “Scratch” Perry – it’s all in there somewhere. It’s like cooking up a compressed music history lesson fuelled by ACME dynamite: a sweaty, noisy barrage of frantic fun. N I T E F I S H - hyperpunk, transcendental gabber N I T E F I S H is a Swedish hyperpunk act creating an explosive hybrid of punkrap vocals with lush hyperpop, thundering gabber kicks, footwork and breakcore. Performing at renowned experimental festivals like Norberg Festival and supporting acts like Violent Magic Orchestra, HD Mirror, and KAVARI in over 6 European countries, N I T E F I S H’s enthralling multimedia performances exfoliate the senses. Part rave, part exorcism, his explosive stage presence in fast swimming goggles accompanied by two microphones, breakcore drums and live camera visuals immerse audiences into new forms of catharsis, exploring the dancefloor as a revolutionary weapon. His new cybergothic EP “Balenciaga Exile”, released via Swedish label Spice 99 Recordings, is a new Trainspotting for the brainrot generation, exploring themes of social media addiction and sensory overload with an occult mix of euphoric trance leads and ear-splitting bass. Deli Girls - synth punk, electro industrial, digital hardcore Consisting of producer Hatechild., drummer John Bemis (Murderpact) and vocalist Dan Orlowski, this Brooklyn based band have been on the rage since 2013. Known for their charged live performances, their raw blend of industrial, noise, rave and digital hardcore sounds will sweep you off your feet. Queer, anti-racist and anti-establishment - this band inhales and exhales the core values of the underground scene, pulling you in. Just last May they released their newest album Losing State. Trevoga: Softrot - dance & performance Trevoga is a collective of performance artists who move against the current: dreamers, doomers, and aliens drawn toward another affect. For Kronkel, Trevoga collaborates with Softrot to present a preview of her upcoming performance, 0000-00-00. Softrot is the apotheosis of resistance in defeat. Seductive, unstable, her performance 0000-00-00 doesn’t fear the end of the world, but a world that never quite ends. A world of productive exhaustion and optimised deterioration, where everything runs on overdrive: memory’s full and the future won’t load. AdamB2BSteve - Plug & Play - hyperpop, gabber As members of La Kamarade and the masterminds behind Plug & Play, adam and steve are no strangers to throwing a wild party. With their Plug & Play Soundsystem sets, they push the crowd to its limits with unexpected, off-the-wall sounds and a chaotic fusion of hyperpop classics and internet-soaked gabber. Forget Eden, the real paradise is on their dancefloor. Plug & Play, the brain child of Romeo Schmitt and Floris Rosenbaum, is an Amsterdam-based club night offering a playful and inclusive gateway into nightlife for queer and creative beings. Inspired by the raw energy of Dutch gabber culture and the overstimulating chaos of internet-born music, Plug & Play delivers a chaotically charming blend of happy hardcore, hyperpop, breakcore, and beyond. DJs are challenged to spin their wildest ideas, nothing is too crazy. Previous editions took place at venues like Kanaal40 and Parallel, featuring DJs such as Sarah Bonito, Alice Gas, LARASATI, Dr Dickey, 99jakes, screenage dj, and DJ Safke. Programme at Willem De Zwijgerkerk Zea & Drumband Hallelujah Makkum - acoustic, alternative, blues, electric, marching band As a four piece band in collaboration with Drumband Hallelujah Makkum, indie musician Arnold de Boer AKA Zea brings us songs sung not just in English, but also in the Frysian language, one of the official languages in the Netherlands. His album In Lichem Fol Beloften shines a light on his poetically crafted world. With a lot of enthusiasm and various instruments such as clarinet, cello, guitar and percussion, Zea provides a well-thought out mix of genres that cross the definitions of various styles - think for instance of folk, jazz and blues. Honingbeer - dreamy violin ambient Honingbeer is the solo project of experimental violinist Marthe Lasthuis. She extends and bends violin with electronics. Honingbeer gifts us never just a vibe or melody to match a mood. Much more, her compositions require listeners to submerge – and reemerge elsewhere. With atmospheric, melancholy layerings, she lures listeners into a primordial place and time; a clearing in the forest singing, a vibration of the heart. Dina | Ardea Alba - Frysian & Iranian folk Where Frysian meets Persian, and musical traditions from Europe and the Middle East converge, the result is not contrast but recognition. It is precisely in the differences that we can hear how much we have in common. Music proves to be a language that connects, transcending borders, origins, and words. Ardea Alba, Latin for ‘the great egret’, serves as the starting point for this musical adventure. The great egret lives on various continents and symbolizes connection: between landscapes, cultures and stories. As Sonic Storyteller, Dina from Friesland, together with two Iranian musicians, Sougol & Bamsar, creates musical landscapes in which poetry, spoken word, and music merge. The work moves between the earthly and the imaginative, between silence and sound, and invites us to encounter something greater than ourselves. Ardea Alba’s tranquil compositions meet the rich tradition of Persian music, creating space for improvisation, dialogue, and new soundscapes. This concert is an invitation to listen to what emerges when different worlds truly meet. Programme at Vondelbunker The Woman - Punk, alt-rock The Woman portrays the world as an ugly, dirty and elusive place where beauty can be found for those who listen. Led by Sheyda Abolfath, the band tells the melodramatic story of modern man in search of a soul. With a distinct mix of alternative and experimental music, gritty poetry and visual art, this band creates a performance that is punk in attitude, open in emotion, and radical in honesty. Prom Vagabonds - noise rock, slowcore, dream pop, grunge Prom Vagabonds (PV) is the love child of noise-rock, sequins and 90s Brazilian TV shows. They are a yearning quartet, who embrace the cathartic and surreal in performance, and have crafted a sonic universe that feels like a glitter gutter. Between contradictions and extremes, the gutter yields music that embraces darkness, dissonance, and intensity with layers of hectic guitars, while the glimmer of glitter embellishes the performance with hypnotic, enthralling rhythms and nostalgic, confessional vocals. After three years of making music together, PV has come to a place where the goal is to express their darkest and most urgent feelings in the most honest way through their music. The soundtrack to a funeral or a wedding, the consistent trait in their music is intensity. Books - alt rock, no wave The music of Books offer us a place to unleash rage and discomfort. Uncompromising shredding guitars and a variation of lingering voices and harmonious yelling in this blend of alt rock and no wave, with hints of garage and shoegaze make you yearn to drown in their sound. Earlier this year they released In the Presence of Everything . Programme at De Nieuwe Anita: Sleeping Beauty - performance Sleeping Beauty falls asleep again and again… Waking up feels like an unbearable clash between reality and the expectations of true love - for her, but also for the suitors who endure life threatening adventures to reach her castle. To find the right suitor, Sleeping Beauty starts keeping a diary in which she tells us about her experiences and desires, and she sings like a siren from within her dreams to attract the right suitor and wake up to a reality no less miraculous than her dreams. otta - avant-pop otta is a Finnish-British musician based in South London, crafting a distinctive blend of experimental pop, textured percussion, and emotionally resonant songwriting. Emerging via SoundCloud, she has since released three EPs, including after it all blew over and Songbook via Warp artist Kwes.' label Bokkle, followed by her latest EP, released via her own label, Löyly. Her live performances balance intimacy with unpredictability, with appearances at Café OTO, Spanners, and residencies at The Windmill, Brixton. Her work has been championed by Pitchfork, The Quietus, Clash, NME, and i-D , alongside BBC airplay from Mary Anne Hobbs, Iggy Pop, and Mike Skinner. Maya Ongaku - contemporary music ensemble Hailing from the seaside communities surrounding Enoshima, a small island located 50 km southwest of Tokyo, Maya Ongaku is a ragtag collective of local musicians whose brand of earthy psychedelia transcends widely beyond the roots of their inner souls. The name derives not from any kind of ancient civilization, but rather a neologism defined as the imagined view outside one’s field of vision. The band—currently a trio of Tsutomu Sonoda, Ryota Takano, and Shoei Ikeda—finds sanctuary at the Ace General Store, a beachy vintage shop and salon-like space just hidden from sight from the bustling, touristy riverside Subana Street. Between discussions on music and art, curating the vinyl section and manning the register, and chatting up with locals young and old, the members find time to jam and record their spontaneous ideas in the studio tucked away in the back. It’s in this unlikely setting where Maya Ongaku finds its origins, the culmination of what Sonoda describes as \u81ea\u7136\u767a\u751f (shizen hassei), meaning spontaneous generation, or the supposed production of living organisms from nonliving matter. The Klittens - alternative, punk, art pop, art rock, fuzz, garage, indie Initially began a creative and political outlet, now a musical life mission for its members. The Klittens combine their love for pop music and dark sentiments with a punk ethos. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists - such as The Ronettes, MF Doom, Dry Cleaning and Kate Bush - they have crafted a sound that's truly and twistedly their own. This September, perfectly aligned with Kronkel, they will release their long awaited debut album Have A Heart - taking influence from country to pop to (post-)punk, always with a Klittens twist. Crafted from blood, sweat and cardboard, this title will be self-released in true Klittens fashion. Their DIY approach, from songwriting to releasing music and tour management, is what makes The Klittens the ragtag bunch of misfits they are. The band consists of Yaël Dekker (vocals), Winnie Conradi (guitar), Katja Kahana (guitar), Marrit Meinema (bass guitar), and Laurie Zantinge (drums). Fake Taxi - theatre & transit Started in 2024, Fake Taxi is an ongoing documented performance in a taxi ride, revealing the encounters that take place between a real taxi driver, a passenger and a spectator. Visual artist Laura Eager and theatre maker Rosa Gooij use film and performance to investigate the public and private entries of a taxi, and the encounters happening between drivers and passengers. What is shared at this moment, how do they perceive or interact with one another, and what effect does this have on how they view the current world around them? Programme at Teatro Munganga: Moussé Dramé - djembe workshop Always a party when playing Percussion with Moussé Dramé! Come and enjoy playing African rhythms with the master djembe player and teacher Moussé. For more than 25 years he has been inspiring people all over the world from Amsterdam to China with his positive music vibes and his knowledge of the West African traditional rhythms. Within no time you are grooving with him with a big smile on your face and you know more where the rhythms are rooted. Very low key but high in energy: you are welcome! Ruda Krua - afrobeat, experimental, jazz, punk, ambient, free jazz This genre-defying band from Rotterdam draws influences from afrobeat, jazz, ambient, electronic, punk and elements of Bulgarian and Valencian traditional music. Their debut EP, released on cassette, has brought them throughout The Netherlands, Türkiye, Bulgaria & Spain. Ruda Krua provides live shows with a unique fusion of original compositions and free improvisation, offering audiences something different with each performance. They create a dynamic and eclectic sonic experience, pushing the boundaries of the instruments they use - featuring bass clarinet, drums, saxophone and a variety of effect pedals. Kiss My Knoblauch - story punk, garlic wave Queer music duo Kiss my Knoblauch brings us story punk and garlic wave. Rapid protest song through tender tongues and squelchy sounds, that they have been performing throughout various underground venues. They previously released their nine song compilation Eyes Wet Fists Big on bandcamp. Come on down with an appetite and experience their culinary sonic magic. Programme at OCCII: Legiana Collective - global folk, vocal harmony, upbeat, folk-fusion Meet Legiana Collective - a modern folk band that plays their original compositions and traditionals from all over the world. They focus on blending vocal harmonies, accompanied by acoustic instrumentation. Legiana’s live shows are always lively, theatrical and danceable, breathing a love of sharing their surprising music with the audience. Legiana plays in different formations of 4 to 9 bandmembers, having toured internationally through Europe and coming from several backgrounds - the Netherlands, Italy, Denmark and Spain. Loveth Besamoh - afro-psychedelia, post-punk, shoegaze Loveth Besamoh summarises the creative trajectory of the eponymous band he founded quite aptly: a surrender to metamorphosis through music. The birthname given to the Cameroonian producer/multi-instrumentalist literally means ‘To Love / Speak Truth – as powerful a maxim as any when engaging in artistic endeavors. Like a tree branching out from fertile topsoil, the band Loveth Besamoh has organically evolved from its founder’s bedroom productions to a dynamic four-piece outfit that combines post-punk, folk, afro-psychedelica, shoegaze and kraut rock in unorthodox, firebrand fashion. Gaining a steady following with their torrential live performances, Loveth (vocals, guitars, percussion), Do Milder (bass), Devon van Wijngaarden (guitar), and Iwan van der Keur (drums) have embedded themselves deeply within Rotterdam’s rich alternative music scene, with latest EP Riverbed as the latest marker for the group’s rapidly evolving, collaborative sound. Currently Loveth Besamoh are gearing up to record their long-awaited debut LP. Quatsch - synth punk Sometimes all we need is a lot of loud silliness, which makes Quatsch a perfect fit for Kronkel. Goofy synths, bashing bass, pounding drums and crazy yelling - Quatsch means nonsense, which they serve on an ingenious platter of synth punk. Ak’Chamel - psychedelic folk, ritual ambient, avant-folk, free folk, dark folk Ak’chamel, The Bandylegged Riders of the Ill-Promised Sun They have been known by many names: The Givers of Illness; The Bandylegged Riders of the Ill-Promised Sun, etc… Honed and expanded through their travels, Ak’chamel’s singular sound comprising desert scorched psychedelia, post-apocalyptic shamanism, and bizarre ritual folk is as unique as the physical theater of their otherworldly live performances.
